Pengaruh Penggunaan Edpuzzle terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa dalam Pembelajaran Sejarah di MAN 1 Sijunjung
Abstract
This study was motivated by students' low history learning outcomes due to suboptimal mastery of the material, driven by limited media variety and conventional instruction. It aimed to analyze the impact of using Edpuzzle on history learning outcomes at MAN 1 Sijunjung. A quasi-experimental control-group pretest-posttest design was used with purposive sampling, involving 30 students in class XI F5 (experimental) and 30 in class XI F4 (control). Data were collected using 36 objective pretest/posttest questions and analyzed via normality, Wilcoxon, and Mann-Whitney tests, alongside N-Gain scores. Initial mean pretest scores were comparable: 24.94 (experimental) and 24.88 (control). Post-intervention, the experimental group's mean score rose to 82.19, while the control group reached 38.29. Hypothesis testing yielded p < 0.001 (p < 0.05), accepting Ha and rejecting H0. Based on N-Gain interpretation criteria (<40% ineffective, 40–55% less effective, 56–75% moderately effective, >76% effective), the experimental group's score of 75.92% fell into the moderately effective category. Consequently, Edpuzzle significantly and effectively improves students' understanding of history.
