Tergusurnya Penduduk Pondok Tinggi (Uhan Pundaok) Ke Sungai Jernih 1990-2021

ABSTRACT

This research discusses the displacement of the original Pondok Tinggi residents from the downtown area to the suburbs (1990-2021). The purpose of this research is to look at the background of the eviction of the Pondok Tinggi residents (uhan Pundaok) to the Jernih River, the process of the eviction of the Pondok Tinggi residents to the Jernih River, and the social life of the Pondok Tinggi residents before and after living in the Jernih River. This study uses the historical method which consists of four stages, namely heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. From the results of the research, it was found that the residents of Pondok Tinggi moved to Sungai Jernih due to the fact that these residents were unable to adapt to life in the city due to a discrepancy between the livelihoods of the residents and the types of work that existed in the city center. Not to mention the presence of immigrants makes the existence of the original Pondok Tinggi residents increasingly marginalized in the economic field. Since 1990 many residents of Pondok Tinggi have moved to the outskirts of the city, namely to Sungai Jernih Village.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini membahas tentang tergusurnya penduduk asli Pondok Tinggi dari daerah pusat kota ke daerah pinggiran (1990-2021). Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk melihat bagaimana latar belakang tergusurnya penduduk pondok tinggi (uhan Pundaok) ke Sungai Jernih, proses tergusurnya penduduk Pondok Tinggi ke Sungai Jernih, dan kehidupan sosial penduduk Pondok Tinggi sebelum dan setelah tinggal di Sungai Jernih. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sejarah yang terdiri atas empat tahapan yaitu heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Dari hasil penelitan di dapatkan bahwa penduduk Pondok Tinggi pindah ke Sungai Jernih diakibatkan oleh penduduk tersebut tidak mampu beradaptasi dengan kehidupan di kota karena ketidaksesuain antara mata pencaharian penduduk dengan jenis pekerjaan yang ada di pusat kota. Belum lagi adanya penduduk pendatang membuat keberadaan penduduk asli Pondok Tinggi semakin terpinggirkan dalam bidang ekonomi. Sejak tahun 1990 banyak penduduk Pondok Tinggi yang melakukan perpindahan ke daerah pinggiran kota yaitu ke Desa Sungai Jernih.
