So far, a lot of research has only been stored in libraries, dusty and weathered and just gone. More student research results, in addition to the large quantity, are also quite varied and inspiring. The Journal of Kronologi seeks to bridge this. The results of students' final research are both related to history and research related to history education. All of them are seen as worthy of publication. Journal of Kronologi as the container. Not only the results of research by history students of Padang State University but broadly the results of final research of students from all universities in Indonesia.
http://kronologi.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/jk/article/view/1029Analisis Kebutuhan Bahan Ajar Digital Scrapbook untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kausalitas Siswa SMA N 1 Banuhampu2026-02-02T05:07:56+00:00Muhammad Irsyadmhdirsyadnew2019@gmail.comRidho Bayu Yeftersonrby@gmail.com
The background of this research is the lack of variation in teaching materials and the reliance on traditional teaching methods, which affects the low causality thinking skills of students in schools. Padang consists of 8 districts. It is traversed by 5 major rivers and 16 minor rivers. It has an average rainfall of 296.00 mm/month (2015) and relatively low temperatures throughout the year. Padang City is situated on swamps and rumbia forests, and combined with its high rainfall, this makes Padang City prone to flooding. Based on data from DIBI BNPB, since 2009-2024 there has been an increase in flooding incidents in Padang City. Based on a hazard index assessment by KRB Padang City, almost the entire area of Padang City is threatened by flooding, covering an area of approximately 14,901 hectares. The vulnerability to flooding in Padang City will have a significant impact on the community of Padang City itself. These impacts include economic losses, health problems, and even loss of life. This study aims to identify the impacts of the 2012 flash floods on the people of Padang City. The research location is in the area of Padang City that was affected by the 2012 flash floods. This study uses a historical research method with data collection techniques through interviews. Based on the results of this study, there are several impacts of flooding experienced by the people of Padang City, which are divided into four parts. First, economic losses. Second, the disruption of community activities. Third, the most common health impact is the emergence of anxiety among people living in areas that are prone to flooding every year. Fourth, the impact on the environment, which results in the loss of land function in areas affected by flooding.
2026-02-06T02:44:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##http://kronologi.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/jk/article/view/1020Analisis Kebutuhan Pengembangan Journey of Spices Game untuk Meningkatkan Minat Belajar Sejarah Siswa SMK Negeri 4 Padang2026-02-25T00:25:59+00:00Annisa Farizkyannisafarizky01@gmail.comRini Afrianiriniafriani@fis.unp.ac.id
This study aims to conduct a needs analysis for the development of a learning medium, the Journey of Spices Game, intended to enhance students’ interest in learning history at SMK Negeri 4 Padang. The study was motivated by the low level of students’ engagement in history learning, which is still dominated by lecture-based instruction and conventional media such as textbooks and presentation slides. Such conditions result in students being less motivated and less actively involved in the learning process. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and needs analysis questionnaires involving history teachers and tenth-grade students. The findings indicate that students need interactive, visual, and enjoyable learning media to help them understand the topic of the Indonesian spice routes and the arrival of Western nations. Teachers also emphasized the necessity of technology-based innovations that align with the characteristics of digital-native learners. Based on these findings, the development of the Journey of Spices Game is considered relevant as an effective alternative learning medium to increase students’ interest in learning history. This medium not only provides a more engaging and interactive learning experience but also helps students understand historical material contextually, making them more actively involved in the learning process.
2026-02-25T00:23:21+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##http://kronologi.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/jk/article/view/1022Analisis Kebutuhan Pengembangan E-Modul Sejarah Indonesia untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kausalitas Peserta Didik2026-02-25T00:53:18+00:00Amanda Ismiamandaismi001@gmail.comRini Afrianiriniafriani@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze the needs for developing an e-module designed to enhance students’ causal thinking skills in Indonesian history learning. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach as the initial stage (Analyze) of the ADDIE development model. The subjects consisted of history teachers and 11th-grade students at MAN 3 Kota Padang. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to identify learning needs, challenges encountered, and the availability of supporting facilities. The findings revealed that history learning at MAN 3 Kota Padang remains conventional and teacher-centered, relying on unattractive materials that do not effectively stimulate higher-order thinking skills. Most students demonstrated low causal thinking abilities, particularly in understanding cause-and-effect relationships among historical events. Based on these findings, it is necessary to develop an interactive, contextual, and easily accessible digital e-module to support more meaningful history learning and improve students’ causal thinking skills.
2026-02-25T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##http://kronologi.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/jk/article/view/1026Analisis Kebutuhan Pengembangan E-modul untuk Melatih Kemampuan Literasi dan Numerasi Siswa dalam Pembelajaran Sejarah2026-02-25T01:07:21+00:00Saripa Ainisaripaaini005@gmail.comAisiah Aisiahaisiah@gmail.com
This research is motivated by the low level of students’ literacy and numeracy skills in history learning, which impacts their critical thinking abilities and their capacity to relate historical events to everyday life. The purpose of this study is to analyze the need for developing an e-module teaching material to train students’ literacy and numeracy skills in history learning at SMAN 1 IX Koto Dharmasraya. This study employed a mixed-methods descriptive design with a qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of a history teacher and 11th-grade students as the target users of the e-module. Data sources were obtained from interviews, observations, and needs analysis questionnaires. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews with one history teacher, questionnaires distributed to 30 students, and direct observation of the learning process. Quantitative findings showed that students’ literacy and numeracy skills were relatively low. Based on two pre-test items on literacy and numeracy, 43.3% of students answered correctly while 56.7% answered incorrectly. The survey also revealed that the school does not yet have an e-module to train students’ literacy and numeracy skills, and 70% of students expressed the need for an e-module for history learning. Qualitatively, observations and teacher interviews indicated that the teaching materials used are still predominantly in printed form, lack interactivity, and do not adequately support independent learning. Both teachers and students expressed the need for a digital, interactive teaching material that aligns with the Merdeka Curriculum and is capable of enhancing literacy and numeracy skills. The findings also suggest that an e-module integrating text, images, and videos would improve students’ motivation and comprehension.Based on the needs analysis, it can be concluded that developing a history learning e-module is feasible and relevant for implementation, as it supports learning objectives and improves students’ literacy and numeracy skills.
2026-02-25T01:07:21+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##http://kronologi.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/jk/article/view/1019Analisis Kebutuhan Media Film Animasi sebagai Upaya Peningkatan Keterampilan Berpikir Historis Peserta Didik2026-03-08T23:34:59+00:00Agry Pradiyas Sukmaagrypradiyas19@gmail.comElfa Michellia Karimaelfa@gmail.com
This study aims to conduct a needs analysis on the use of innovative learning media in history subjects at SMAN 14 Padang. Students. Based on the results of classroom observations and interviews with teachers and students, information was obtained that the history learning process is still dominated by lecture methods and the use of textbooks. This condition causes students to be less active, have difficulty understanding the chronology of events, and have difficulty developing historical thinking skills. The needs analysis was conducted on four aspects, namely teacher conditions, student characteristics, availability of resources, and school facilities and infrastructure. The findings show that teachers have not utilized varied learning media, while students consider learning less interesting because it is limited to verbal explanations. Students need media that is contextual, interactive, and able to visualize historical events. Therefore, animated films are seen as relevant as an alternative learning media because they can increase motivation, clarify concepts, and support the development of students' historical thinking skills. This needs analysis becomes the initial basis for the development of animated film media based on the Independent Curriculum that is appropriate to the characteristics of 21st-century students.
2026-03-08T23:34:58+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##
